Head
North from Johannesburg, and a mere 3 hour drive will bring
you to Nungubane Game Lodge which lies in Welgevonden Private
Game Reserve, at the heart of the spectacular Waterberg. The
Waterberg, high in the Limpopo Province, is one of South Africa’s
last unspoilt wildernesses.
Free from malaria, with a temperate climate, Welgevonden is
a leading South African private game reserve. Its 34000 hectares
are home to the Big Five, including some 50 White Rhino, 16
species of antelope, a rich variety of other animals and some
250 species of birds.
Nungubane welcomes a maximum of ten guests in an atmosphere
of intimate luxury. Guests are accommodated in spacious chalets,
which command majestic views over the reserve from their individual
decks.
Nungubane is known for the warmth of its welcome, the friendliness
of its staff, and for its highly commended cuisine.
