Accommodation at 4 Star Private Game Lodges and a Rest Camp operated
by South African Parks Board.
DAY
1
Departing early morning and head to Pretoria where we will stop at
the Paul Kruger House Museum, where you can see items dating back
to the early 1900’s, and personnel items of President Paul Kruger
that have remained in the house, since he lived there. After about
an hour we will go up the road to Church Square and see Historical
Buildings including the Old Parliament Buildings of the Old Transvaal
Republic. From there we will move on through the City and see other
places of interest and will stop at the Union Buildings (designed
by Sir Herbert Baker) where the history and other points of interest
will be explained to you. We then head east out of the City
passing the Presidential Residence and University on our way to Sammy
Marks House (Victorian), where we will have a picnic under the trees,
and go on a tour of the house. We leave there and head to Luipardskloof
Game Lodge for the night, where we will have a Game Drive and scrumptious
Dinner.
DAY
2
After breakfast we travel to Lydenburg and on to Sabie via the Long
Tom Pass along which are various scenic stops. We then travel along
the Blyde River Canyon with stops at Burkes Luck Potholes, God’s
Window where we will spend a night at a hotel in the area.
DAY
3
After breakfast we drive through Graskop on the way to Kruger Gate
and on to Skukuza where we will have around 3 hours of leisure time
to explore the parks museum and camp. We depart on a game drive returning
to Skukuza for a dinner night stop.
DAY
4
An early departure from Skukuza should ensure some good game viewing
on our way to a picnic site for breakfast in the bush. After breakfast
we will wind our way to Lower Sabie Camp for a traditional South African
barbeque / braai (weather permitting) under the stars before a restful
night with the nocturnal sounds of the African bush.
DAY
5
After Breakfast we leave the Kruger National Park via Crocodile Bridge
Gate passing through the town of KomatiPoort and on through the sugar
growing area of Mpumalanga, entering Swaziland at the Jeppe Reef Boarder
Post. We wind our way through the mountain kingdom passing through
the village of Piggs Peak and stopping at various scenic sights on
the way to the Capital Mbabane. We will visit places like the well
known candle factory, the Glass Blowing Works, the Carpet Shop and
Bronze Shop etc. We will spend the night at the Royal Swazi Spa Hotel
and Casino, where you can entertain yourselves with the different
activities offered by the Hotel.
DAY
6
We will leave the Hotel after Breakfast and head through Southern
Swaziland and entering Kwazulu Natal in the North. Arriving at Shayamanzi
House Boat on Jozini Dam, where we will stop for the night. Shayamanzi
is a 80 foot (24 meter) luxurious house boat.
DAY
7
On board Shayamanzi soak up the stunning scenery and variety of wildlife
of the Pongola Game Reserve and Lebombo mountains. Fully serviced,
the friendly crew ensure you delicious meals, a safe cruise, great
fishing, game viewing and bird watching of more than 300 species.
Game drives, elephant tracking, rhino walks and horse riding can be
arranged on request.
DAY
8 & 9
After Breakfast we will head southwards to Falaza Private Game Reserve,
situated on the banks of the St Lucia Estuary (World Heritage Site).
We will be staying there for two nights with various day trips available.
Cruise on the Estuary where we can see Hippo’s, Crocodiles and
magnificent Bird Life. Game Drives are available in the Park and to
Umfolozi and Hluhluwe Game Reserve where the Big Five can be seen.
Dinner will be served under the Magnificent African Stars before a
restful night, for the trip back to Johannesburg.
DAY
10
After Breakfast we leave Falaza and head back to Johannesburg.
